Vegetable Garden

In our new house we have a small garden. In part of this I have sown vegetables from seed - four rows of lettuce, one row of beetroot and two rows of carrots. I sowed them on Sunday 2nd July 2006.


They have taken well, especially the lettuce. This photo shows them after one warm week in the ground


I was given some onion and lettuce plants by someone at work and I have just sown these this afternoon in pots.

Pete the Rabbit

We had agreed that a bowl with two goldfish would look nice in the house. With this in mind we went to Pat at Home. When we came out Elise had managed to persuade me that the baby grey and white rabbit would be 10 times better than goldfish and that she would look after him, feed him, change him etc.

We did not know what name to give him for around a week. Eventually we decided to name him after the fella on Big Brother, Pete.

So here he is - Pete the Rabbit

New House

We have moved house now and live in Stoke-on-Trent. We have moved from Manchester as Elise now works in Leicester and Stoke is in between both our works. Elise drives to work each day, about 1.5 hours each way. I take public transport to Manchester and this takes me around two hours each way. Needless to say we are both tired when we get home in the evenings. We get up at 5.20 each morning.

Our new home is a nice terraced house. It is far larger than our micro flat in Manchester and we have a modest garden. However we still seem to ahev managed to spread out easily and there is not too much free space left!
